Apprentice of the Year Awards 2010
5 February 2010: The competition for the Department for Employment and Learning’s (DEL) Apprentice of the Year Award 2010 has begun.
Nominations are open now for all four categories. The much coveted awards are designed to recognise people involved in apprenticeship training here in Northern Ireland, including: employers, training organisations and the apprentices themselves.
Commenting on the Apprentice of the Year Award, CEF Managing Director, John Armstrong, said, “The Construction Employers Federation encourages all members to consider submitting an entry for their apprentices. As the construction industry is one of the biggest apprentice employers in Northern Ireland it is vital we showcase the high quality of training provided for our young people.”
The 2010 award categories are:
- Apprentice of the Year
- Most Promising First Year Apprentice
- Personal Achievement Apprentice
- Partnership Award (for employers and training organisations).
The closing date for all categories is 12.00 noon on Wednesday 3 March 2010. The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony in the Europa Hotel, Belfast on Wednesday 19 May 2010.
