Constructionline Advisory Forum
The Federation has insisted that a formal service level agreement must be established with Constructionline that guarantees contractors that their renewal information will be uploaded onto the Constructionline system within a predefined timescale.
This follows isolated reports that contractors who had complied with all requests for the documentation required for Constructionline renewal had been suspended from the system because their information had not been processed in time.
With all government construction clients now using Constructionline it is imperative that this situation is remedied.
The Federation also reminded the clients that when selecting the work categories to be used in the Constructionline section of the new standardised prequalification questionnaire template that they should use the highest level categories.
For example the client building a bridge should seek a Constructionline category value for Civil Engineering, not for the much narrower field of Bridge Construction.
Contractors are reminded that where a client requires a narrow work category by mistake, the issue should be raised with the client.
