CEF Specify Construction Excellence Awards 2011

4 April 2011: The CEF Specify Construction Excellence Awards 2011 were officially launched today with the support of the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP. With the competition now in its twelfth year, the Construction Excellence Awards have grown to become one of the leading business awards in Northern Ireland.

John Armstrong, Managing Director of the Construction Employers Federation said, “These awards provide the local construction industry with its chance to shine. The competition draws public and political attention to the positive impact of our industry and also provides a wonderful opportunity for individual companies to distinguish themselves by their quality. No matter how difficult trading conditions are, I believe we must always remember to celebrate companies, buildings and infrastructure that deliver significant benefits to the people of Northern Ireland.”

“I am delighted to welcome a number of new judges on to the distinguished judging panel this year. In total there will be 18 judges, each bringing their own particular skills and experience to the competition. I believe that the quality of the judging gives the Awards great credibility with clients.”

“I encourage all Federation members to take advantage of the opportunity presented by the awards to promote the work of your company and the industry at large. Full details of how to enter the awards have been sent to all members and are available in the Awards section of the CEF website. “
