Introduction

Collateral warranties are commonplace in today's construction industry but are treated with trepidation by many.  This seminar will provide an overview of collateral warranties so that they can be signed in confidence. 

The following topics will be covered: 

  • What are collateral warranties and why are they used?
  • Usual clauses contained within the standard form of warranty (to include Professional Indemnity Insurance, Copyright, Assignment, Limiting liability, Step-in rights and Expiry).
  • Other clauses contained within bespoke warranties.
  • Practical considerations and words of caution. 

The seminar will be of benefit to Clients, Consultants, Contractors and Sub-Contractors.
