HSENI Chief Executive Robert Kidd has recognised the efforts made by the construction industry during the ongoing pandemic and issued a reminder for construction companies to remain Covid aware.
Members working in the Republic of Ireland should be aware that the Construction Industry Federation in Dublin has updated its Construction Sector C-19 Pandemic Standard Operating Procedures. The latest version is Version 9: October 2021. The Standard Operating Procedures should be adhered to by companies working in the Republic of Ireland.
The Prime Minister has confirmed that the move to Step 4 of the COVID‐19 Roadmap will go ahead in England next Monday 19 July. The Scottish Government has confirmed that Scotland will move to Level 0 on 19 July but certain mitigations will remain in place, including the mandatory wearing of face coverings and working from home where possible. Wales will move fully to alert level one from 17 July and to a new alert level zero on 7 August and Northern Ireland is expected to outline its plans for easing restrictions on 26 July.
