Design Manual for Roads and Bridges

A briefing note (see link in story) has recently been issued by Highways England to provide detail on changes that will affect the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) over the next two and a half years.

The changes are radical and will see a total re-writing of the DMRB with the overall intention of having a fully up-to-date manual, which has a consistent structure and is easier to use.

The three devolved administrations are fully involved in the re-drafting process with the Department for Infrastructure co-ordinating input on behalf of Northern Ireland.
