DfE seeks input on review of National Occupational Standards
The Department for the Economy (DfE) is seeking employer input on which National Occupational Standards (NOS) should be reviewed in 2022/23.
The review of NOS is the first step towards the development of qualifications and has a direct impact on the development of apprenticeships so there is a need to involve employers in this work to make sure that the qualifications meet the needs of the sector.
NOS are reviewed on a UK wide basis and managed by Skills Development Scotland (SDS). The Demand Statement for 22/23 has been issued by SDS for input and prioritisation by Devolved Administrations, through the NOS Governance Group. Demand Statement Guidance can be accessed by clicking on the link.
DfE is asking employers if there are any particular NOS they wish to be included in the 22/23 review.
In addition, details of the current NOS reviews being carried out can be accessed at the following link, with details on how you can input to them:
Feedback should be submitted to Jonathan Caughey (email@example.com) by close of business on Thursday 13 January 2022.
