Invitation to Apprenticeship Levy consultation event, 7 December
The Department for the Economy yesterday published its consultation on the proposed Apprenticeship Levy. With this in mind we have arranged a joint consultation event with the CBI and officials from the Department on 7 December.
The Department for the Economy yesterday published its consultation on the proposed Apprenticeship Levy: https://www.economy-ni.gov.uk/sites/default/files/consultations/economy/Apprenticeship-levy-employer-consultation.pdf
The consultation is only running for a 3 week period to Friday 23 December.
With this in mind we have arranged a consultation event with the CBI and officials from the Department (Joyce Rutherford and Jim Wilkinson) to brief members on the proposals within the document as well as giving industry an opportunity to give its views on the issues – specifically the questions in the consultation document on pages 11-13. The event will take place on Wednesday 7 December from 2.30pm – 4pm.
If you/a colleague would like to attend then please let Tracy Windrim know by email: email@example.com. Places are limited so please let us know as soon as possible. This event is only open to exisitng CEF members.
As part of our ongoing lobbying on the issue, we recently (along with CITB) briefed the Assembly’s Economy Committee on the subject. Please find here our oral briefing to the Committee which should provide useful background on the impact the Levy will have, as we understand it currently, on the industry.
