#SafetyReboot- Get involved
CEF is calling on its members and the wider Northern Ireland construction industry to get involved throughout January in its health and safety initiative Safety Reboot.
Pictured above are staff from CEF member McAleer & Rushe taking part in a Safety Reboot discussion at their site at Mount Pleasant (Phases 3 & 4) in Farringdon, London for Taylor Wimpey. McAleer & Rushe have rolled out the initiative across their sites in GB and NI.
Companies are encouraged to share images across social media using the hashtag #SafetyReboot.
The aim of the initiative is to encourage construction companies to stop work for about 15 minutes, once a week throughout January, to take time to focus on key areas of health and safety.
Resources on eleven topics developed by the CEF Health & Safety Committee are available here. These include question packs and discussion aids on three new topic- asbestos, respirable crystalline silica and underground services.
The resources should be used to start conversation and interaction between the workforce on important health and safety issues that they encounter every day on site. Of course, given the ongoing Covid 19 circumstances, it is essential that social distancing is observed during any stoppage.
