#SafetyReboot2025 Resources

2 January 2025   Industry Standards

CEF has released resources for the month long health and safety initiative, #SafetyReboot2025, taking place throughout January 2025. The aim of the initiative is to encourage construction companies to stop work for about 15 minutes, once a week throughout January, to take time to focus on key areas of health and safety.

The resources should be used to start conversation and interaction between the workforce on issues encountered everyday on site. The core resources include a question pack on each topic to encourage discussion and a discussion aid to assist the person facilitating the stoppage.

Following feedback received via the survey of CEF members on Safety Reboot in August 2024, posters for each topic have been developed to make the initiative more visible on site throughout January. Each poster also contains a QR code which links to the resource for that subject.

CEF is also delighted to partner with Niall Hollywood of Hollywood Fitness who has produced a series of engaging short videos focussing on improving wellbeing. These can be used alongside the other resources on Mental Health and Wellbeing but we would also encourage companies to share the videos as widely as possible with staff and supply chain partners so they are as accessible as possible.

Companies are encouraged to get involved and to use these short stoppages as a time for staff and sub-contractors to really engage with each other on the important topics.

Make sure to use the hashtag #SafetyReboot2025 to share images and updates on how your company gets involved throughout January. As ever, this is a great opportunity to showcase how seriously construction companies in Northern Ireland take the health and safety of their workforces.
